LIGHTSPORT MAN AUGUST 2016 EXPERIENCE UPDATE

Hey everyone this is LightSport Man August 2016 Experience Update as you all know LightSport Man is looking to become a CFIS and to do that you need some flight experience.

I was out sick this month so I did not get to do much flying but I did get to passed the FAA fundamentals of instructing (FOI) Exam so I have one test out of the way.

You can see below the flight experience requirements of becoming a CFIS:

Flight experience requirements
Airplane and weight-shift-control category instructors need 150 hours of flight time as a pilot, which must include at least:

  • (i) 100 hours of flight time as pilot in command in powered aircraft,
  • (ii) 50 hours of flight time in category,
  • (iii) 25 hours of cross-country flight time,
  • (iv) 10 hours of cross-country flight time in category, and
  • (v) 15 hours of flight time as pilot in command in category that is a light-sport aircraft.

LightSport Man Flight experience

  • (i) 47.4 hours of flight time as pilot in command in powered aircraft,
  • (ii) 84.7 hours of flight time in category (PASS),
  • (iii) 32.6 hours of cross-country flight time (PASS),
  • (iv) 28.0 hours of cross-country flight time in category, and (PASS)
  • (v) 45.0 hours of flight time as pilot in command in category that is a light-sport aircraft (PASS).

So as you can see LightSport Man still need some TOTAL TIME (65.3), PIC TIME(52.6) but he is working hard at it and I will update everyone next month..
