Certificate requirements & approximate cost

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR A SPORT PILOT CERT, A PERSON

– MUST BE AT LEAST 17 YEARS OLD
– MUST READ, SPEAK, WRITE AND UNDERSTAND ENGLISH
– MUST HOLD A CURRENT AND VALID US DRIVER’S LICENSE
– MUST PASS A WRITTEN AND PRACTICAL EXAM
– MUST LOG A MINIMUN OF 20 HOURS OF FLIGHT TIME THAT

INCLUDES:
– 15 HOURS OF FLIGHT TRAINING:
– 2 HOURS OF CROSS COUNTY FLIGHT
– 10 TAKEOFFS AND LANDING TO A FULL STOP
– 5 HOURS OF SOLO FLIGHT TIME WITH
ONE CROSS COUNTRY FLIGHT AT LEAST 75 MILE
